If your school registers you as an NQT, we will ensure that experienced leaders from our Alliance Schools will be assigned to you and your school to ensure you have full support and advice and that all statutory guidelines are followed. You will be given a complete NQT Induction Handbook.

WCTSA NQT REGISTRATION FORM 2019-20

WCTSA is hosting a highly successful (100% good or very good satisfaction rating Autumn 2018) Primary CPD for NQTs for the sixth year. 6 Modules are delivered over 3 days facilitated by experienced primary teachers and senior leaders over this academic year. This training is available for all NQT’s in West Cumbrian Schools. For more information please use this booking form.

Our Third Primary Phase NQT conference which was scheduled be held at St Gregory’s and St Patrick’s Catholic Infant School, Whitehaven on Thursday 21st May 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. In partnership with Outstanding Leaders Partnership we have been able to provide free online training modules on Understanding SEND and Pedagogy and Practice to all course attendees and their school colleagues, to access this training follow this link:

West Cumbria Primary NQT CPD 2019-20

WCTSA facilitated a Secondary NQT Conference at West Lakes Academy on Thursday 17th October 2019 covering *Behaviour management *Time management *Marking and feedback. Feedback was very positive with 100% of delegates finding the training highly effective.

Our Secondary Phase SEND conference which was scheduled be held at Mayfield School, Campus Whitehaven on Tuesday 19th May 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
