The WCTSA (West Cumbria Teaching School Alliance) is committed to offering high quality leadership development in this region of Cumbria.
The West Cumbria Teaching School Alliance is working in partnership with the Best Practice Network and has been successful in setting up a Hub School at Keswick School for the delivery of the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and the National Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML). We have joined the Outstanding Leadership Partnership as a delivery partner and our first NPQML course began in February 2018 with a full uptake of places.
Shaun Monaghan, the Director of WCTSA represents our Teaching School Alliance on the Board of the Outstanding Leaders partnership.
We began running our first NPQSL and NPQH courses in September 2018. The majority of the course content is accessed online with face to face days being held locally at Keswick School. Cockermouth School or at the Cumbria LEP Conference Centre in Penrith.
This year’s programme was scheduled to begin in May at the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Redhills, Penrith Cumbria, CA11 0DT. Due the COVID-19 pandemic the first face to face day will be a webinar. We have a full intake of 28 delegates.
